Ships' Plans and Line Drawings Collection
of The Great Lakes Historical Society

Return to the Library Collections page.

The Great Lakes Historical Society has an extensive collection of original line drawings (and some blueprints) of Great Lakes vessels. These drawings provide a fascinating perspective on the design process of these vessels, and serve as a valuable tool for model builders.

Due to the length of the list, it has been broken down by shipyard. Click on each shipyard to view the listing of vessels built in that yard; they are arranged by last name. To find a particular vessel, use the Find (Control-F) Command on your web browser.

Total Vessels Represented: 1,000 approx. Total Plans: 20,000 approx.
