Joining The Great Lakes Society as a member allows you to share a commitment to our mission: to preserve and make known the important history of the U. S. and Canadian Great Lakes.We accomplish this mission by publishing Inland Seas, the finest quarterly journal dedicated to Great Lakes history in the world! We also operate the Inland Seas Maritime Museum in Vermilion, Ohio. Also at our facility in Vermilion is our Clarence S. Metcalf Great Lakes Maritime Research Libraryand our Peachman Lake Erie Shipwreck Research Center. These activities and facilities make The Great Lakes Historical Society the premier organization dedicated to preserving the history of the Great Lakes! Benefits – free entrance to the museum for Individual – 1 person, Couple – 2 people, Family – Two adults and children under 18 living at home.
