Great Lakes Maritime Artwork
The Great Lakes Historical Society's collection includes over 100 original works of art, featuring
paintings by renowned Great Lakes artists Howard Sprague, Vincent Nickerson and others. The Inland
Seas Maritime Museum also has large wall murals painted by Alexander Cook. In his "Great Lakes
Shipping, 1869-1969," a six-minute narrated light show explores the evolution and types of Great Lakes
vessels.
