Join us for our new Movie Club! During these cold months of winter, we will be showing documentaries about the Great Lakes. Tickets include the movie, popcorn, and a soda. Our second offering for the Movie Club will be "Heroes on Deck: World War II on Lake Michigan" - an interesting look at the training of thousands of navy pilots on the Great Lakes' own air craft carriers. One of the cornerstones of of the shipwreck research program at the National Museum of the Great Lakes is its training program run in conjunction with the Maritime Archaeology Survey Team.  This training program has trained over 350 avocational archaeologists over the last 15 years.  The training is over three days: April 28-29 and either May 19 or 20.  You do not have to be a SCUBA diver to take the training.
